Some of the comments our guests have made about their stay at Earlscroft Farm.
What a gem of a barn conversion, beautifully stylish interior and spotlessly clean. We couldn't fault it and not a dog hair in sight, as we are allergic to them. It was a great base to investigate our ancestry with success.
What a fantastic cottage. Ticked all the boxes for me. was able to chill out and relax. Hope to be back soon.
What a lovely place to stay. Very convenient for Boston and our dog loved having walks on the doorstep.
Finally arrived. Beautiful cottage. Perfect for a base for me seeing all my friends and family. Will see you again.
A* accommodation. Everything you need is thought of. Our first ever visit to Lincolnshire. Plenty to see and do. Loved being able to take our dogs out for walks in your field and nice to have a safe and secure garden for them to roam. We will be back.
We had a lovely week in the delightful barn, which has everything you could possibly wish for. We have enjoyed exploring Lincolnshire - some great walks with Floss our Labrador. Thank you for the tips on places to visit, as well as all the books and maps etc in the barn. We thought the farmshop was great and would second the the recommendation of Boston Spice. Best wishes.
Back again, where has the last year gone since we were here?! Everything is perfect as usual. Thank you for the lovely flowers from the garden, what a beautiful colour they were. Jack has only found one rabbit this time, no hedgehogs. See you all again in September 2012. Thanks to you both for everything!
Thank you for a lovely weekend, the conversion is comfortable with everything provided to make it a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The dogs loved the garden, plenty of room to run and play. Although the weather has been a bit wet it hasn't dampened the experience of the excellent walks in the Lincolnshire countryside or the golf!! Hope to return soon.
Great week here in a lovely, very comfortable house. Really appreciated the small touches like proper thick towels and a good hairdryer. Eva the Hungarian Vizsla puppy delighted everyone but our grumpy pooch Bess. However she's had a ball at Sutton On Sea beach, walking in Witham Country Park (five minutes by car) and along the Viking Way. Recommend Boston Spice Thai restaurant and The Bluebell Inn at Belchford in the Wolds - great food and handy beer garden for dogs. Lincoln is well worth a visit as is Louth for nice food shops. Great chippy at Alford! We've done loads... Lincolnshire people are kind and helpful and I'll recommend it to others. Worth the long trip south.
We have so enjoyed our week here and Smurf loved playing with (and being licked by) the beautiful Eva. He was in his element when walking at Gibraltar Point. Lots of thought has gone into the accommodation and it is definitely worth it.
Jess, Millie and I had a lovely, relaxing holiday. The cottage is beautifully appointed and added much to our break. Thank you to you all for making us feel so welcome, and hope that future guests enjoy themselves as much as we did. Millie will miss Eva very much!
We've really enjoyed our week in the barn, so comfortable and in a perfect location. Maisie thought she was in doggy heaven. Recommend The Mill Pub as they are dog friendly. Freiston RSPB is beautiful. Also beaches north of Skegness are good to take your dog. Conningsby and East Kirkby are a must if you like aircraft. Thank you for a great week and hope to return in the future.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your beautiful converted barn. It has been a lovely sunny week. Enjoyed exploring the beautiful villages Scopwick, Threekingham, and Old Bolingbroke to name a few. A full day at Lincoln - not long enough. For any aviation enthusiasts East Kirkby on a Wednesday is a must to see the Lancaster taxi. We topped this day off with a late visit to Conningsby where we viewed a squadron of Euro fighters come in, followed by the Lancaster from the BBMF taking off to do a display. We would love to visit again. A really great holiday.
So glad we found this little gem! It's the perfect place for a restful break. Many thanks.
A wonderful place to stay - we've loved exploring Lincolnshire where my family come from. Thanks for the information about the brilliant walks.
Many thanks for our stay in your beautiful converted barn and for being so accommodating. Really appreciate it. Would certainly recommend to any of our family and friends - and would love to come back. Thanks again.
What a lovely cottage, a real "home from home". We had a lovely relaxing time in Lincolnshire, wish we were staying longer! Belton House and Tattershall Castle well worth a visit. We shall be back. Many thanks.
Great weather, empty beaches on Lincolnshire coast and great location from which to explore Lincolnshire and Norfolk. Highly recommended Johnson's Garden Centre for deli-food - picnics won't be the same! Bombay Brasserie for indulgent night in. Already thinking about how soon it can be before we can come back. Thanks Kate, Mark and family.
Had a great time in Lincolnshire. No complaints at all. Many thanks.
We have had a super, relaxing week. The holiday accommodation is first class. It's very attractively furnished, warm, comfortable and well equipped. Ideally placed to explore the Boston area. Many thanks.
We've thoroughly enjoyed our week at this delightful, well-equipped and comfortable self-catering cottage. We had an excellent meal at The Mill on ladies lunch day (Monday and Wednesday) - applies to gentlemen too and is very good value. We recommend visiting Freiston and Frampton RSPB nature reserves.
We've enjoyed our week here and been lucky to have good weather. The self-catering accommodation is excellent, a lovely attractive in an excellent area to to explore Lincolnshire. Good food at The Mill which is also 'dog friendly'. All three of us have had a lovely time.
Lovely accomodation in an excellent area for exploring all the wonderful places Lincolnshire has to offer. We have enjoyed Lincoln, the market town of Louth, the North Norfolk coast and have particularly enjoyed Frampton Marsh and the unusual Gibraltar Point.
Our short break has sadly come to an end. We have really enjoyed our walks along the field. Duke has loved his first holiday. Our day at Skegness was gorgeous weather was brill. Duke loved the beach and a paddle in the sun. Been a good relaxing say for the three of us. Hope to come again soon
Everything you would expect from a 5 star holiday cottage. Thank you for the wine and chocolates. A lovely touch, hope to see you again soon.
We have never been to Lincolnshire before, but it;s brilliant. Take a little time to plan things out and your going to have a great time. In a word, the accommodation is "Brilliant" and cannot be faulted, so Kate and Mark, if you are reading this, do not change a thing, you have got it just right. We loved sights and sounds at Mablethorpe, Gibraltar Point, Chapel St Leonards to name but a few. Thanks so much to Kate and Mark again.
Beautiful accommodation, very warm welcome, beautiful sunsets, wish had bought our paints. Great place to explore Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. Hope to come back.
Another enjoyable stay (our 4th) This time had Sam the dog who has appreciated the excellent accommodation as much as us.
Brilliant! Better than we've stayed in before. Would recommend the holiday cottage to anyone!
Brilliant! Better than we've stayed in before. Would recommend the holiday cottage to anyone!
Fantastic accommodation, everything catered for, 5 stars. Thank you very much.
Your holiday cottage is well equipped and the decor has given us ideas for our own home! Extremely comfortable and clean - thank you! We've had a wonderful time exploring Lincolnshire and in particular the pubs! A must is the Blacksmith's Arms in Skendleby and the Blue Bell in Tattershall Thorpe. We also visited the Aviation Museum at East Kirkby, well worth a visit is Lincoln's Cathedral. We have managed an 8 mile walk around Firsby, Bratoft and Irby - beautiful day, not so beautiful mud!! For a wet day we would recommend the Bateman Brewery tour at Wainfleet - we had a great time tasting what they had to offer! Wednesday night was hilarious, visited the Bombay Brasserie in Boston & met the owner Mr Kan. He said he would give a discount to our friends so we have to mention our names! The food was delicious. All in all a great week! Thanks again.
What a marvelous last minute find this place is. The location and accommodation are both absolutely fantastic. Thank you for the wonderful bread, it was delicious. We have had a great weekend at the holiday cottage and hope to return in the future.
It's good to be back again for our third visit. Weather has been good apart from the wind. Everything from the cottage is great as usual. Thank you Kate for the lovely loaf of bread. To add to the wildlife we have watched two rabbits chasing about and a wandering hedgehog that seems to like the lavender.
Lovely warm bread, great to relax in lovely accommodation - amazing outdoor surroundings - some good walks & wildlife. Freiston Shore RSPB interesting Gibralter point - great for the birds and with a very good visitor centre / cafe.
Boston town - interesting history and architecture, people very relaxed and friendly. Had a wonderful meal at "Bizzarro" and during our last day got as far as Donna Nook to see the seals and onto Grimsby Heritage Centre and trawler tour with ex-fisherman 'Sid'!
We've been extremely lucky with the weather - a mild pocket with rain overnight in the main - hopefully will return. Many Thanks
Lovely area, beautiful cottage.
'Simply the best!' Thank you
The holiday cottage has been a lovely base from which to explore the area. In Boston we loved the climb up the Stump and our visit to Maud Foster Windmill. We've also enjoyed visits to Kings Lynn to Tatershall Castle, to Easton walled garden, to the Chocolate House at Folkingham, to Spalding and it's Festival Gardens, to Bourne Village. A lovely half day boat trip on the 'Boston Belle' to see seals. We particularly enjoyed meals at The Mill pub nearby and at Prezzo's on Wide Bargate.
Excellent accommodation. Fine spot especially the Reed Buntings, Barn owl and Bats.
We have looked forward to this holiday so much and it has more than lived up to all our expectations. We have chilled out from the moment we arrived, which is what we all needed.
Thank you. A calm, peaceful oasis from which we explored your delightful County. Recommend the 'Battle of Britain Memorial Flight' museum at RAF Coningsby and Lincoln Cathedral was amazing.
We have had a lovely week here and have fallen in love with the holiday cottage which is spotlessly clean and tidy. The bed is very comfortable indeed. The countryside here is lovely and we have had endless walks and spotted lots of birds and wildlife. We will come here again. Thank you so much.
Thank you, Thank you, the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. Modern, clean and very comfortable. Ideally located for walking, very quiet for relaxing, chilling out and reading. The enclosed garden is just perfect for my two little dogs. The facilities within the property were beautifully clean, bed very comfortable and the shower above the bath has the best pressure I have ever come across which all contributes towards making a holiday perfect. Would highly recommend to other friends and family.
This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. There is everything needed to have a great stay.
This holiday cottage is amazingly luxurious and quiet and the photos do not do it justice.
Had a lovely quiet holiday. Holiday Cottage is absolutely lovely and the photo's on the Internet don't do it justice. Thank you very much.
A wonderful restful week in a lovely barn conversion. A great setting and well placed to visit a number of local Lincolnshire towns and villages.
Our second visit and just as good as the last! The peace and quiet has helped us relax away from our usual bust lives.
Ideal location, so peaceful. First time in the area but will be black. It's so flat!! Weather marvelous, not one drop of rain throughout our visit. As an architect, I must congratulate you on a perfect conversion. Just what was needed.
We liked the barn very much. It was well planned and spacious, also very quiet which suits us well.
Thank you for this beautiful place - undoubtedly the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in! Lovely peaceful place from which to explore Lincolnshire.
Our second visit was as good as the first in August 2008. Yet again we enjoyed the garden as it was perfect for the dogs to wander around. A lovely warm and cosy cottage with everything to offer.
We've had a lovely 4 days in this beautiful holiday cottage with our old labrador Rex. We really enjoyed Freiston Shore and Anton's Gowt lock.
Our dogs loved the walks along the river bank. We enjoyed Wednesday Market in Boston plus a climb up the 'Stump'. 'Dicky Bird' a pied wagtail kept us amused by his running about the garden several times a day.
Good week, good weather, good accommodation, enjoyable fishing.
We have enjoyed ourselves immensley and have been impressed by the kindness and friendliness we have found here.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Lincolnshire. The beaches are so clean and tidy. At Mablethorpe dogs are allowed on the beach. We've enjoyed going to see the Battle of Britain Memorial flight and also a revisit to the Petwood Hotel, home of the Dambusters Squadron. The cottage is wonderful with all that you could need.
Everything was as perfect as ever. It was lovely to watch the barn owl on the post over by the water.
Fabulous stay. Thank you. Wonderful holiday cottage, very relaxing. Have enjoyed the area especially the Flower Festival in Spalding. Climbed the local Maud Foster Windmill, what views.
Complete peace with wonderful surroundings and such pleasant walks along the drain. Gibraltar point - Fantastic and the newly opened RSPB bird sanctuary at Frampton Marsh an absolute must. For those with connection to WW2 RAF Bomber Command, East Kirkby and Coningsby offer so much. I think the cottage deserves 10 stars!
Such a private and peaceful location. We will definitely come back and recommend Earlscroft Farm to family and friends. Nice shopping and restaurants in Boston. Great walks at Gibraltar Point and Skegness sea front.
Thanks for a lovely comfortable stay in a fabulous holiday cottage! The decor is lovely and calming and the holiday let is stocked with everything we needed. Especially enjoyed your art books! Thanks for all your helpful suggestions - The Lincolnhshire sausages from the farm shop were to die for. Had a fun time exploring the area. Did a coastal tour yesterday finishing up at Gibralter Point
Lovely warm greeting and delightful holiday cottage with everything that we could possibly need. We came here on recommendation and it lived up to expectations.
The barn is superb - very much a home from home. We've decided we could easily live in this space! Enjoyed evening walks from the property too.
Absolutely fabulous. What a beautiful holiday cottage. Immaculate in every way. We found what we were looking for and hope to move Spalding are in May / June.
Superb selfcatering accommodation and in just the right location for walking the Lincolnshire coats from Sutton Bridge to Skegness - which is what we did as part of a UK coast walk!
The perfect escape for a peaceful, restful start to 2009. The cottage was perfect for us and our elderly dog.
The best possible Christmas present I could have found for ourselves. We have felt perfectly at home in the charming surroundings.
The holiday cottage is absolutely beautiful with everything we could have hoped for and more. We are in love with the bed - It is quite simply incredible!
We got in to Boston a couple of times despite being on foot and were able to get some lovely photos.
What a beautiful holiday cottage in a special Fen location! thoroughly enjoyed our time in Lincolnshire - a warm welcome on some very frosty (but sunny!) days.

Thank you for a very comfortable home from home Cottage. It is the best we have ever stayed in over the years of our self catering. Wow that bed.

Couldn't have wished for anything better. Kate and Mark really made us welcome. We would love to come back.

The three of us have enjoyed our cottage in the country and we wish we could take it with us! However, it is time to go home and stop pretending that we live in this amazing little home in the middle of this amazing countryside we have been waking up to each morning.
We have had a lovely week at Earlscroft Farm. The barn conversion is brilliant with a lot of thought going into the design & decor, luxurious, cosy and warm with lots of added touched, which all go to make for a relaxing holiday. Well worth its 5 star rating.

What can we say for a week a way from it all! It has come to an end all too suddenly. The accommodation so beautiful, which has aided our relaxation no end. We had a wonderful relaxing week, being able to explore Lincolnshire at our leisure. Max, our Cavalier King Charles puppy has also enjoyed himself, the freedom and good weather has been excellent. We will definitely recommend to others! For anyone wanting to sample good food, we recommend the "Coach House" and also the White Hart Hotel in Boston.

Serenity personified! The minimalist decor combining antique and modern furniture was right up our straisse!! We will both recommend your beautiful barn and hop to return for a longer stay!
Where tall trees gather, talk
animated whispers offer
Loved it. Luxury amid quiet and calm. We have criss-crossed the lovely fens on our cycles always knowing we are going back to 5 star comfort.
What a fantastic weekend (despite the poor weather!). The cottage was beautiful and the attention to detail was superb. Mark & Kate are so welcoming, we were not disturbed all weekend, yet if we needed them I'm sure help would be at hand!
Our week here is now at an end and we are sorry to leave. The cottage is lovely, every comfort provided. Many thanks for your thoughful gestures and the lovely flowers given to me by Mark. We have enjoyed our stay at Boston very much and hope to come again in 2008.
