Back in 2006 when we developed the holiday cottage we were aware that Lincolnshire, and Boston, despite its important history, was not well known as holiday destination. We were confident that people would be pleasantly surprised by all the area had to offer but we needed to make sure that we had an edge in terms of quality holiday accommodation in order to encourage visitors to the Boston area.
The barn conversion was undertaken with quality in mind from the outset. The single-story building lent itself to an open-plan, light and spacious self-catering holiday accommodation that retained the character of the original building whilst offering relaxed luxury.
We designed the cottage to maximise on space, making it accessible and comfortable; it was important to ensure it was very well equipped so that the self-catering experience was as easy and as enjoyable as possible. We were delighted to be awarded the 5 star self-catering standard from Quality In Tourism when we opened and have worked to maintain the 5star award ever since.
We continually make improvements to the holiday let both inside and out, updating furnishings, equipment and surroundings on a regular basis. Most recent additions have been to the private garden which now has additional garden furniture including stylish sun-loungers and armchairs and a brand new irrigation system which enables us to have many more flowering containers around the sheltered, enclosed courtyard. Being pet-friendly means that the secure garden is really appreciated by our dog guests and their owners who can rest in peace knowing their pets are safe.
We always listen to the advice given in our Quality in Tourism feedback, so following our last inspection we added a couple of extra luxuries to the holiday cottage, a beautifully designed Tivoli digital radio in the bedroom and a Bose radio/CD and iPod dock in the living area.
Our website too has gained a fantastic new feature which enables guests to take a virtual tour around the holiday cottage and garden. With 360 degree views and detailed close-ups, the Google Places makes choosing holiday accommodation much easier.
